Arapahoe Glacier is located above Boulder, CO at an elevation of 12,434 feet. It is a typical alpine glacier and is the largest glacier in Colorado, but is tiny by world standards. It is an important water source for the City of Boulder. The Arapahoe Glacier Collection evokes the cold and snow of the alpine tundra. This visual effect is a reminder of the importance of water, snow, rocky terrain, and extreme cold to life in the Rocky Mountains and the plains to the east.
